Ideas can be found on Pininterest and there are tons of items in stores like TJ Max, Walmart, Target, Ikea, and CB2.
Personal Essentials

Organization
Desk Accessories
Get your staplers, hole punchers, laptop holders, desk lamps and other needs so that you will be equipped with what you need to get started on the right foot.Throw Rugs
It has been a minute since my college days. I hated to put my feet on the cold floor so a throw rug will solve that issue. A throw rug is a nice added piece of decor to make your room feel in harmony with your roommates side of the room.
Wall Decor
Wall decals/applique, posters, and picture collages are an easy way to jazz up those unsightly walls.
Bed Linens
Make sure you have more than 1 pair of bed linens and dress your bed to your liking. Add in some throw pillows of contrasting colors or prints and walla....
Room Dividers
If you are big on privacy you may want to incorporate a room divider by hanging beads, a curtain or just placing a tall bookshelf in a location to separate your side from your roommates side.
Window Dressings
Drapes, Shades and beads will do the trick but don't forget about window frosting.
Other Accessories
Lighting, picture frames, wall hooks, end tables are just a few of the many options you have to add a little spice to your room.
