Decorate this Holiday with Purpose!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.............
The smell of the holidays are in the air. I love driving down the street listening to the holiday songs on the radio, seeing all of the holiday decorations and lights.  This year decorate with purpose!
There are some key points you should consider when decorating your home with purpose.

1. Color Scheme
This is one of the most important things when decorating. You can use many different colors all together but make sure they compliment each other.

3. Keep It Green
Being environmentally savvy is extremely important throughout the year. Those hefty electric bills can put a damper on Holiday activities and bring about unnecessary stress.
- Use solar or battery operated lights
- Put those holiday candles to use.
- incorporate plants in your design
- recycle old and make them new again.

The "Remix" with Jeanine Hays and Bryan Mason

I had the pleasure of meeting Jeanine Hays and Bryan Mason, founders of Aphro Chic, during their book signing event at Jonathan Adler's Store in Philadelphia.  Both Hays and Mason deliver a cultural modernism that is on point. Great conversations and eye popping colors filled the room while providing me with inspiration.

The Book "Remix" focuses on a few key points on how to incorporate cultural modernism design into your space:
color
pattern
art
global objects

It is a definite must read for all who love interior design.

I won't spoil you with tons of details from the book. You will have to get one for yourself. Meanwhile enjoy some pictures from the book and Jonathan Adler's store.
